Donnie Wahlberg and Jenny McCarthy Are Getting Their Own Reality Show

Donnie Loves Jenny will air on Le Network de Wahlberg, A&E.

Fabulous news for literally nobody: Newlyweds Donnie Wahlberg and Jenny McCarthy will star in their own reality show on A&E airing in 2015, Deadline reports.

Donnie Loves Jenny (the actual title!) will chronicle the first stages of the couple’s married life, including a one-hour premiere episode documenting their August 31 wedding, followed by nine half-hour episodes. The 10-episode order is supposed to be a continuation of the Wahlberg’s family show, Wahlburgers.

A reality show about a famous married couple? Surely this show will be nothing like Ice Loves Coco. Or Tori & Dean. Or Kendra on Top. Or Married to Jonas. You get it.

Donnie Loves Jenny will be the first project and deal that the couple has signed with A&E for their newly launched joint production company, D&J Productions. Wahlberg, who is currently starring in the cop drama Blue Bloods on CBS, was also the executive producer of Boston Police docu-series Boston’s Finest. McCarthy, who announced her exit from The View this year, currently hosts a live morning radio show on SiriusXM called Dirty, Sexy, Funny with Jenny McCarthy.

“Viewers have enjoyed following Donnie and Jenny’s relationship on Wahlburgers, and we look forward to sharing this next part of their journey,” said David McKillop, General Manager and Executive Vice President of A&E, told Deadline.

Really? And here we all were thinking that Wahlberg mom Alma was the most enjoyable part of Wahlburgers. Who wouldn’t want to watch Betty White’s Bostonian counterpart make meals out of Spam and get awesome deals at Home Goods? Now that is a spinoff A&E should get behind.
