The Boston Ballet’s production of The Nutcracker is currently in full swing at the Boston Opera House, but for those unable to attend a full-length show, consider heading to International Place on Wednesday, when members of Boston Ballet II will perform excerpts of popular ballets in two back-to-back sessions, conveniently scheduled around your lunch hour.

Swing by the International Place Courtyard to see the talented dancers show off their moves from various renowned ballets. The performances will feature most of the main characters from The Nutcracker, and yes, of course the Dancing Bear will be there.

The emcees Wednesday will be the Ballet’s orchestra music director Jonathan McPhee and company dancer Sarah Wroth. In addition, Don Chiofaro, of the Chiofaro Company, and other VIPs from local sports, media, and business will be in attendance.

The Chiofaro Company and International Place have been hosting holiday performances for 15 years, inviting the general public and student groups to get revved up for the season. This year, visitors from the Robert F. Kennedy Children’s Action Corps and the Elliot School will join the other guests at the Boston Ballet event.

Free, Wednesday, December 10, two sets at 12-1 p.m. and 1-2 p.m., International Place Courtyard, 100 Oliver St., Boston.
