Tanglewood Tickets for James Taylor, Idina Menzel, More Go on Sale This Weekend

Summer might feel a ways away, but don’t wait to nab tickets to the 2015 season of Tanglewood, the BSO’s annual summertime musical oasis in Lenox, Mass.

Tickets for Tanglewood 2015 go on sale this weekend, and there are some fantastic pop headliners slated for this season.

James Taylor and his All-Star Band will perform on July 4 this year. Considering his Fenway show in August is already sold out, fans had better have their credit cards at the ready when tickets go on sale Saturday morning at 10 a.m.

Then on Sunday, the rest of the season will also go on sale for shows starring Sheryl Crow, Diana Krall, Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga, and more. Some will roll their eyes about Idina Menzel, who will perform in late August, but Frozen snafus aside, one cannot deny that the Broadway queen has a voice to be reckoned with. The star of Rent, Wicked, and If/Then will perform a mix of songs at Tanglewood ranging from classic pop, to musical theater, to her personal repertoire.

Other programming planned for Tanglewood this summer include special performances celebrating the Tanglewood Music Center’s 75th anniversary, the Festival of Contemporary Music in July, and more.
