The show will be a 'futuristic espionage thriller'—whatever that means.

Looks like Matt and Ben’s quest to cash in on the dystopian trend is being approved. According to Variety, Syfy has officially ordered a pilot from Damon and Affleck’s Pearl Street Studios for a science fiction/thriller show.

The TV series, titled Incorporated, was originally developed back in October of last year. The Hollywood Reporter described it as a “futuristic espionage thriller set in a world where corporations have seemingly unlimited power” with a protagonist called Ben Larson, an executive. Like so many other popular dystopian stories, Incorporated will explore “contemporary” trends, and will be a “story of one man’s efforts to beat the system.”

Damon and Affleck’s production company Pearl Street Studios will work on creating the series, including the studio’s president Jennifer Todd as an executive producer and Pearl Street creative executive Margaret Chernin as an associate producer. Ted Humphrey, producer of the popular series The Good Wife, will also be an executive producer.

Affleck, Damon, and Pearl Street already have their hands dirty in a few other projects, including a new biblical film with Hugh Jackman, and the reboot of HBO’s Project Greenlight (to premiere this spring). Both are also involved with an untitled FOX comedy from a 30 Rock producer, and a TV series with CBS titled More Time with the Family.

Separately, Damon is producing Manchester-by-the-Sea, a movie filming on the North Shore starring Kyle Chandler and Casey Affleck, and is also going to take on a fifth Bourne movie. Affleck is still shooting Batman vs. Superman, which hits theaters next year, and is supposed to be taking on another thriller with his Gone Girl team, David Fincher and Gillian Flynn.
