Already one of the high holy days of geekdom, this May the Fourth also brings the return of Science Monday to Ames Street Deli. No strangers to mad sciencejust look at that cocktail listAmes Street has started hosting a monthly night dedicated to exercising your brain meats. Last time, teams were challenged to MacGyver together a tower from drinking straws, masking tape, paper clips, and a random mystery object “that could support the weight of a coconut, with rewards for height and flair.” Presiding over the evening’s science challenge will Dr. Eric Lander, founder of the Broad Institute and one of the principal masterminds behind the Human Genome Project.
