City of Boston Announces Two Summer Concerts Series

Including the return of the Dorothy Curran concert series, and performances in Faneuil Hall.

The Mayor’s Office of Tourism, Sports and Entertainment announced its 2015 lineup of free summer events throughout the city. While the events kick off with the second annual Donna Summer Roller Disco Party, the city also has more events in store as well including two free concert series happening on Friday afternoons and Wednesday nights throughout July and August.

Friday Afternoon Concert Series
Fridays starting July 10, 12-2 p.m., Sam Adams Park in Faneuil Hall

Why not enjoy your lunch break or Friday afternoon with live music? Every Friday, come out and enjoy performances by a different bands from Berklee in Sam Adams Park at Faneuil Hall. This series is in conjunction with Berklee College’s ‘Summer in the City’ free concerts throughout Boston.

Dorothy Curran Wednesday Night Concert Series
Wednesdays at 7 p.m., July 15 & 29, August 5 & 12 at City Hall Plaza

The city’s longest-running outdoor concert series returns for its 43rd year. Including loads of activities and fun for all ages, this Dorothy Curran Wednesday Nights consists of four shows throughout July and August. Artists that have been featured in past years include Beatlejuice, a Beatles tribute band, a Decades Dance party, R&B groups, and more.

Caliente!
5 p.m. on July 25 at City Hall Plaza

Spice up your summer at Caliente! by enjoying the celebration of Boston’s Latino culture and community. With a variety of vibrant Latin music and dance performances, local and international performers have made this event a success for the past seven years.
