Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler Crashes Zac Brown Band’s Fenway Park Concert
The Zac Brown Band wrapped up its three-night stint at Fenway Park with a little help from a former Allston resident.
Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler surprised fans Sunday night and joined ZBB for “Walk This Way” and “Sweet Emotion.” In retrospect, the band did say it would have a “few surprises” in store for the Fenway faithful.

Cameos like this aren’t uncommon for the Zac Brown Band, whose hit songs include “Chicken Fried” and “Toes.” Last year, ZBB surprised Fenway Park by joining Billy Joel for renditions of “Piano Man” and “You May Be Right.”
In 2012, Tyler and the rest of Aerosmith performed a free concert in Allston, outside their former residence at 1325 Commonweath Ave. where the band lived for two years starting in 1970. Two days before the concert, Tyler, a native of Yonkers, N.Y., visited the old pad where his band recorded “Dream On” and other hits. The midday show shut down local MBTA service.
