This morning, following in the steps of other multi-day music events like Coachella, Lollapalooza, Outside Lands, and Firefly, Boston Calling organizers announced the release of a free festival app.

The app is a one-stop shop for up-to-date information about Boston Calling, featuring a map of the festival and its amenities, directions to City Hall Plaza, a list of partners, and more.

A customizable schedule allows users to sort through the lineup by artist, stage, and performance times to create a personal itinerary for the weekend.

The app also integrates feeds from all of the festival’s social media outlets—Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram—in addition to providing official news from organizers. Users can choose to receive push notifications about any changes to the event, including weather—this is New England after all, and the need to evacuate the premises due to an impending storm does come up.

The app is available now on iPhone and Android.

The sixth edition of Boston Calling kicks off on Friday, September 25, with The Avett Brothers, Of Monsters and Men, alt-J, Alabama Shakes, Hozier, and others performing over the weekend.
