Mark Wahlberg decided to feed some hungry locals with a Wahlburgers food truck in Philadelphia on Thursday, just days before the Boston-bred actor is supposed to hang out with the Pope at the “Festival of Families” event.

According to Philly Voice, Wahlberg was spotted flipping burgers while filming scenes for his hit A&E reality series in the city’s Northern Liberties neighborhood, where a new Wahlburgers restaurant is expected to open in the near future.

Some lucky fans also got the chance to snap a few selfies with the actor during his impromptu grilling session.

Wahlberg isn’t the only star visiting Philly this week to help welcome the Pope at Saturday’s big event.

Andrea Bocelli, Juanes, Aretha Franklin, The Fray, Marie Miller, and the Philadelphia Orchestra are all set to perform this weekend. The entire event will also be broadcast nationally from the Benjamin Franklin Parkway located near the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

Just don’t count on seeing Wahlberg serve the Pope a personally prepared Wahlburger, though.
