Chris Pine Shows Off More of His Boston Accent in Latest Finest Hours Trailer

Plus: a very serious Casey Affleck.

The latest trailer for Disney’s The Finest Hours hit the web on Wednesday, featuring more of Chris Pine’s version of a Boston accent.

While the Star Trek actor’s take on sounding like a Bostonian is interesting to say the least, the new clip also shows off more of the intense, seafaring action fans can expect when the film hits theaters this winter.

Based on a true story, The Finest Hours brings to life the harrowing 1952 rescue mission of the crews on the Boston-bound oil ships the SS Pendleton and the SS Fort Mercer.

If you’re wondering why Affleck looks so intense in the new trailer it’s because he’s playing one of the senior officers aboard the Pendelton who must try to keep his men safe as Mother Nature batters their tanker with a nor’easter.

The upcoming flick, which filmed around Massachusetts last year, is an adaptation of Casey Sherman and Michael J. Tougias’ 2009 book and will also star Eric Bana, Holliday Grainger, John Ortiz, and Boston-bred actor Ben Foster.

The Finest Hours hits theaters January 29, 2016.
