Last time we checked in with Mission of Burma, the Boston post-punk legends were playing with Foo Fighters at Fenway Park. Tonight, they’ll hold court in much more intimate setting, performing at Oberon during a live podcast taping of NPR’s Bullseye with Jesse Thorn. Tickets are available here.

Bullseye is currently on a six-city live-show dubbed “World Tour of Several American Cities”, and tonight will also feature a chat with former Congressman Barney Frank and comedy from Boston comedian and late-night twitter price Lamont Price.

Some background on the whole thing, via DCOutlook: “‘Bullseye with Jesse Thorn,’ formerly known as ‘The Sound of Young America,’ is carried by public radio stations across the country, and was the first public radio program west of the Mississippi to podcast. It has received plaudits from publications like Time Magazine (‘Pick of Podcasts’), Salon.com, McSweeney’s and Wired Magazine which said, ‘from interviews to reviews to his unique takes on artistic curios, Thorn thinks about pop culture more deeply, and humorously, than anyone else in public radio.'”

The show is produced by Maximum Fun.
