You can rag on Black Friday, mumbling how the holidays have been overrun by consumerism—or you can set your alarm and save some dough.

The busiest shopping weekend of the year is about to kick off the holiday season. Aside from a few extra-caffeinated lattes in your hand, you might need a little guidance in your head. We’ve rounded up our favorite Black Friday and Small Business Saturday deals for your post-turkey stupor.

Black Friday

While you may have seen ads from stores touting their opening hours on Thursday, it’s illegal for retailers to open on Thanksgiving in Massachusetts. Below, see each location’s specific opening times for Friday, November 27. Also note that all deals are subject to change. Call individual stores for more details.

Assembly Row

There are pros and cons when it comes to Assembly Row. A T stop means no parking hassles, but it also means you can’t haul as many bags. Whichever mode of transportation you choose, this Somerville spot has some of the best deals around.

Standout deals: Spend $200 and receive a $25 gift card at Pendleton, 50 percent off everything at J.Crew factory, 40 to 80 percent off the entire store at Brooks Brothers, 20 percent off entire purchases at the Nike Factory Store until 2 p.m.

Don’t forget about Primark’s home section—there are a bunch of baubles that make excellent stocking stuffers.
