Jimmy Kimmel Won’t Stop Calling Ben Affleck Batman

'Ever since I got this role you've only called me Batman.'

If you couldn’t tell, Jimmy Kimmel is pretty pumped that his friend Ben Affleck is playing Batman, so much so that he even had a bat signal built for the actor.

While Affleck is glad that Kimmel is excited for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, he wishes the comedian would stop calling him by his Dark Knight moniker. The Boston-bred star swung by Jimmy Kimmel Live on Wednesday night to unveil the latest trailer for the upcoming superhero flick and called out the late night host for never addressing him by his real name.

“Jimmy, you know that I just play Batman, right?” Affleck said. “Ever since I got this role you’ve only called me Batman.”

The schtick has gone on for so long that it forced Affleck to ask if Kimmel even knew his real name anymore.

“I have a real name too. You know what that name is, don’t you?” Affleck said. “Why don’t you go ahead and take a run at saying that name.”

“It’s Bruce Wayne,” Kimmel replied.

“You’ve seen me naked, you know my name,” Affleck jokingly retorted.

After all of the back and forth quips, the actor finally debuted the new trailer for Batman v Superman, and it’s pretty glorious.

Not only did fans get to see the first look at the villainous Doomsday, but they also got to check out a nice shot of Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman fighting side by side.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice flies into theaters on March 25, 2016.
