The Dead are coming back to Fenway Park for 2016— and no, we’re not talking about free agent busts Pablo Sandoval and Hanley Ramirez.

After the long, strange trip that was the disappointing 2015 season, the Boston Red Sox have followed-up their signing of star pitcher David Price by today announcing today that Grateful Dead Night will return to Fenway for the April 28 game against the Atlanta Braves.

The night will feature a pre-game concert of Grateful Dead music out on Yawkey Way, and those buying a specialty ticket will receive a freshly designed Red Sox Grateful Dead T-shirt. Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the Rex Foundation, the official charity of the Grateful Dead, and a VIP pregame party for the Rex will go down at the House of Blues across Lansdowne Street.

At the inaugural Grateful Dead Night back in September, Massachusetts-based Dead cover band Fennario performed live out on Yawkey, and you can watch video of those tie-dyed festivities below (no word on if Fennario were invited back or not, or if they’ll be playing the HOB party). The Red Sox site has more information on ticket sales and group discount offers, and for a look at the original Red Sox Grateful Dead T-shirt design, scroll down after the video jump.
