Matt LeBlanc, if Episodes gets canceled, just know that we’ll be there for you.
While speaking to reporters at Tuesday’s Television Critics Association’s winter press tour, Showtime programming president Gary Levine stated that the Emmy nominated show could possibly be over following its upcoming fifth season.
“They are hard at work on the fifth season and we will wait to see if white smoke or black smoke comes out of the chimney to see how that will work,” Levine said, according to the Hollywood Reporter. “It’s a show we love. Because it’s so painstakingly handcrafted, it takes a rather long time between seasons. We’re waiting patiently for that.”
The news doesn’t come as a huge surprise as LeBlanc tweeted in December that he would only be filming one more season of the series, which earned him a Golden Globe for best actor in a comedy in 2011.
Yes. But we have one more season of Episodes to shoot. Starting in April in London. Stay tuned. Thanks. https://t.co/AbawQbZvQG

On the bright side, fans of the Newton native should be glad to hear that he will be reuniting with Friends cast mates Matthew Perry, Jennifer Aniston, David Schwimmer, Courteney Cox, and Lisa Kudrow for an upcoming special dedicated to television icon James Burrows, which will air February 21 on NBC.
Unfortunately, NBC’s chairman of entertainment Bob Greenblatt said on Wednesday he couldn’t confirm that the actors would all share the same stage together. However, a reunion of any kind should still be an exciting event.
But after all of the big news, we still have one question:
