Ben Affleck Briefly Talks Jennifer Garner and the Kids on Ellen

'We're good friends and we're doing our best.'

Ben Affleck recently stopped by the Ellen DeGeneres Show, and while he didn’t have to dance like his pal Matt Damon, that didn’t mean his appearance was free of awkward moments.

Even though DeGeneres tried to tip-toe as lightly as possible around the topic of Affleck’s divorce with Jennifer Garner, you could tell the Boston-bred star wasn’t keen on broaching the subject.

After the day time host commended Affleck and Garner for putting their kids first during such a tough time for their family, the actor briefly commented on the situation.

“We’re good friends and we’re doing our best,” Affleck said. “Our kids our fabulous and we’re working our best for them.”

On a lighter note, Affleck was very chatty about suiting up as the Dark Knight in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Known for his dramatic R-rated hits like Argo and Gone Girl, the actor was excited to finally take on a role that his kids could see. Affleck’s four-year-old son, in particular, couldn’t be more pumped to have Batfleck as his dad.

“When I leave he’s like, ‘Dad, you going to the Batcave?'” Affleck said. “I’m like, ‘Yes, I am.’ Now I know eventually he’s going to be in therapy like, ‘He lied to me! There’s no Batcave, he’s doing Ellen.'”
