Need a hug after a stressful week at work? The Boston Ballet has got you covered.

In honor of “One Boston Day,” the dance company will be hosting a special event at Copley Square on Friday, April 15, where attendees can get a free hug from the Nutcracker Bear. If you’re in serious need of a bear hug, the festivities will kick off at noon.

Mayor Marty Walsh started a new tradition last year when he declared April 15 “One Boston Day.” The day is meant to honor those who were affected by the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing by calling upon citizens to perform small acts of kindness for their fellow Bostonians.

Earlier this month, Vice President Joe Biden and his wife Jill joined Red Sox slugger David Ortiz and a number of other Boston-bred stars and politicians in a video promoting this year’s celebration. Senator Elizabeth Warren, Governor Charlie Baker, Mayor Walsh, former Governor Deval Patrick, and Patriots Day star Mark Wahlberg were also featured in the short clip alongside a number of other notable locals.
