Rob Gronkowski is totally fine with running into giant football players and dancing in public, but apparently ghosts and tight speedos make him uncomfortable.
The New England Patriots tight end stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live on Thursday night to celebrate landing on the covers of both GQ and Madden, and somehow topics ranging from the supernatural to swimwear came up.
After briefly chatting about his party cruise adventures with Waka Flocka Flame and WWE star Mojo Rawley, Gronk dished on his photo shoot with model Hailey Clauson for the June issue of GQ. Kimmel wanted to know about one photo in particular, which seems to feature the Patriots star baring it all.
Don’t get too excited, as the Super Bowl champion turned cover model explained that he was wearing a tight speedo during the shoot. Gronk admitted that the choice of attire made him a bit uncomfortable, especially when the photographer asked him to pull it down “like an inch,” further exposing his butt crack.
“I had this speedo on and it was so uncomfortable man,” Gronkowski said. “I would rather have been nude because the speedo was so uncomfortable. It was so tight, I never wear anything like that.”
As for Gronk’s other big cover, the Patriots star said that he doesn’t believe in the Madden curse since the last few players who were featured did not get injured. Gronk did admit that he’s afraid of ghosts, though.
“When you’re home alone, it gets scary,” Gronkowski said. “I don’t like being home alone.”
Gronk also told the late night host that he was a bit spooked by where he was staying in Los Angeles during his trip into town for the show.
“The hotel you put me up in last night dude, it’s scary,” Gronkowski said. “It’s a haunted hotel. I was scared. I couldn’t sleep that well.”
He added, “It was like the Tower of Terror elevator ride.”
