Louis CK outsmarted a pair of media members on Wednesday night’s episode of Jeopardy!, winning $50,000 for his charity of choice.

The game show invited the Newton native to participate in night three of “Power Players Week,” opposite CNN anchor Kate Bolduan and Washington Post journalist Jonathan Capehart.

Despite trailing early in the game, CK made a huge comeback after betting big on the final “Daily Double.” His opponents were left in the dust during “Final Jeopardy,” unable to catch up to the comedian’s commanding lead.

“This game was a runaway for Louis, he couldn’t be caught,” host Alex Trebek said following CK’s win.

The star of Horace and Pete and FX’s Louie took home $50,000 for the Fistula Foundation, a nonprofit that’s focused on treating obstetric fistula, an injury during childbirth that is caused by “prolonged, unrelieved obstructed labor” and leaves women incontinent. The organization primarily works with people in more than 20 countries across Africa and Asia.

The Fistula Foundation posted a video on Twitter of its supporters celebrating the win during a watch party.

In addition to CK, Jeopardy! has booked a number of big names for this week’s “Power Players” series. CNN contributor S.E. Cupp beat out MSNBC host Chuck Todd and author Jonathan Franzen on Monday, while 60 Minutes correspondent Lara Logan toppled CNN host Anderson Cooper and former Republican National Committee chairman Michael Steele.

CK definitely earned some bragging rights with the win, but he was humble in victory.

“I just got lucky,” CK said in a backstage clip after the show. “This game is all about how you feel while it’s going.”
