Bill Simmons is coming back to Boston and he’s bringing his friend Jimmy Kimmel with him.

The Any Given Wednesday host and late-night comedian are teaming up for “Jimmy Kimmel vs. Bill Simmons: An Evening of Conversation, Laughter and Romance” at the Citi Shubert Theatre on Saturday, October 15. The benefit show will raise money for the Scholars at Risk Program at Harvard University.

The program, according to a press release, helps “scholars, artists, researchers, and writers from around the world” who are at-risk or persecuted due to the nature of their work or because of their race, gender, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, or political stance. Harvard SAR provides a variety of aid to these scholars and artists, from year-long academic appointments to helping them find safe places to live and work.

Considering Simmons and Kimmel’s long history, it will be interesting to see what happens when these best buds reunite and if they’ll allow Matt Damon to stop by the show.

Tickets to the event go on sale Friday, July 8. Discount student tickets are also available at the Citi Center box office for anyone with a valid student ID.

‘Jimmy Kimmel vs. Bill Simmons’ comes to the Citi Shubert Theatre on Saturday, October 15 at 8 p.m. General admission tickets range from $45 to $250, while student tickets are $24. For more information, check out citicenter.org.
