Nominations for the 68th annual Emmy Awards were announced on Thursday morning and, unlike in years past, Massachusetts stars didn’t do so well this time around.

A few local, perennial contenders were notably absent from the 2016 list, particularly Orange Is the New Black star Uzo Aduba. The Medford native won the award for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series at last year’s ceremony.

While the major awards were mostly devoid of Boston-loving stars, a couple of homegrown names did pick up a few minor nominations.

Despite Matt Damon’s faux pas on the show, the actor and his pal Ben Affleck earned nods as producers for their HBO series Project Greenlight in the Outstanding Unstructured Reality Program category. Haverhill’s Tom Bergeron also was given a nomination for Outstanding Reality Host for Dancing With the Stars.

Amy Poehler was nominated alongside Tina Fey in the Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series for their hosting duties on Saturday Night Live, while Rob Corddry picked up a nod for Outstanding Actor In A Short Form Comedy Or Drama Series for Children’s Hospital. Rounding out the group of local nominees is comedian Josh Gondleman, who earned a nomination along with the other writers on Last Week Tonight with John Oliver.
