Last Week Tonight with John Oliver broke down all of the highlights and controversies from the start of the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.

While there were plenty of absurd angles to dissect, the HBO host didn’t fail to include a few jokes about Gisele Bündchen’s runway appearance at the opening ceremony. Calling it a “solemn moment of history,” Oliver seemed shocked by the fact that it was the supermodel’s final time walking a catwalk.

“Wait, wait. Last catwalk?” he said. “What’s happening to her? Oh my god, they’re going to kill Gisele, aren’t they?”

After calming down a bit, Oliver joked that Gisele would probably end up in a much nicer retirement situation.

“Or maybe they’ll send her where all supermodels go,” he said. “A farm upstate where they can sassily walk around and graze on tiny amounts of grass.”

Gisele wasn’t the only star who became fodder for Oliver’s jokes. The host also had some fun at the expense of NBC anchor Hoda Kotb and her love of parties, as well as the memorable and beefy Tonga flagbearer.

Oliver concluded his opening monologue with a funny but genuine call for people to enjoy the Games and all of the craziness that comes with it.

“Let us all settle in for two incredible weeks of celebrating the fittest, the bravest, the most beautiful, and, of course, the drunkest of us all,” he said.
