Zac Efron Surprised the ‘Final Five’ Gymnastics Team in Rio

Simone Biles may have won her fourth gold medal at the 2016 Olympics this week, but the real prize came in the form of a surprise visit from Zac Efron.
As a superfan of the actor, Biles was overjoyed to finally meet her celebrity crush, who stopped by the Today show to congratulate the U.S. women’s gymnastics team. The “Final Five” couldn’t believe that Efron actually flew all the way down to Rio de Janeiro to see them.

Biles, a proud owner of a Zac Efron cutout, couldn’t contain her excitement over meeting the Hollywood star, especially when he planted a kiss on her cheek.

Team captain and Needham native Aly Raisman also had a blast while hanging out with Efron. According to their recent back-and-forth tweets, the pair is apparently going out for pizza.

Efron was equally as excited to meet Biles, Raisman, and the rest of the “Final Five.” He told Today that, even though he wasn’t really into gymnastics before this year’s Games, the performances by the U.S. women’s team converted him into being a true fan.
“I was immediately captivated by these girls and what they were doing,” Efron said.
