A battle of accents is brewing in the Emily Blunt-John Krasinski household.

The British actress revealed on Monday’s episode of the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon that her kids are starting to take after their Massachusetts-raised father when it comes to how they pronounce words. The couple’s oldest child Hazel has apparently ditched her mother’s regal way of speaking in favor of Krasinski’s American accent.

“Hazel had my accent for a really long time and would say things like water (woota), which I was really proud of,” Blunt told Fallon. “Then the other day she goes, ‘Can I have some water (wah-ter)?’ And I went, ‘It’s water (woota),’ and she was like, ‘No, it’s water (wah-ter).'”

It’s a bit of a new development for Hazel, as the former Office actor told Stephen Colbert earlier this year that his daughter usually channels Blunt’s style of speaking.

“Our oldest kind of sounds like Madonna right now,” Krasinski said. “She has a little bit of a British accent.”

Perhaps his kids will start to take after him in other ways, like having an undying love for Boston sports, being an ace in the kitchen, and, of course, being better than Matt Damon at everything.
