Robert Kraft is used to watching historic sports moments play out in front of him, but that usually doesn’t involve seeing athletes beat each other to a pulp.

The Patriots owner, who recently became an investor in the Ultimate Fighting Championship, was spotted sitting cageside next to the promotion’s president Dana White at Madison Square Garden for UFC 205. Saturday night’s groundbreaking card was the first UFC event to be held in New York since the state legalized professional mixed martial arts earlier this year.

In addition to Kraft, the crowd featured several other famous faces, including Madonna, Huge Jackman, Zac Efron, Demi Lovato, Nick Jonas, Tom Holland, Gordon Ramsey, and Odell Beckham Jr. Although White and Kraft’s mutual friend Donald Trump didn’t stop by, his son Donald Trump Jr. was there, according to his posts on social media.

Fans in attendance were treated to an unforgettable evening, as headliner and featherweight champion Conor McGregor added another title to his collection following a vicious, second round knockout of lightweight champ Eddie Alvarez. The Irish star became the first UFC fighter to simultaneously hold a belt in two weight classes with the enormous victory.

After the fights, McGregor told the media during a press conference that he hopes to cash in by obtaining a stake in the UFC like the new group of celebrity investors, which includes Kraft and other notable locals like Tom Brady and Conan O’Brien.

“People have shares in the company, celebrities. Conan O’Brien owns the UFC nowadays,” McGregor said. “Where’s my share? Where’s my equity? If I’m the one that’s bringing this, they’ve got to come talk to me now.”

Considering Kraft and McGregor had a nice chat in Boston following the champ’s stateside debut in 2013, perhaps the Patriots owner can give the UFC’s biggest star a few lessons on business.
