Deadheads rejoice! Dead & Company will once again take over Fenway Park in 2017.

Live Nation announced this week that singer/songwriter John Mayer will join Grateful Dead members Bob Weir, Mickey Hart, and Bill Kreutzmann for another pair shows in Boston on Saturday and Sunday, June 17 and 18. The rock supergroup also features the talents of frequent Dead collaborator and keyboardist Jeff Chimenti as well as Allman Brothers’ bassist Oteil Burbridge.

This will be the second year in a row that Dead & Company has played Fenway Park after dazzling audiences with two performances over the summer. Tickets to next year’s concerts go on sale Friday, December 16, at 10 a.m.

Mayer, a New England native, revealed in a recent radio interview that he’s extremely grateful for the chance to play with Dead & Company. He called teaming up with the legendary rock n’ roll musicians one of the best career decisions he’s ever made.

“It was one of the greatest things, if not the greatest thing, that’s happened to my career since actually having a music career,” Mayer said. “It’s just opened so many more doors. It’s excited me again.”
