When: Available through May 15, 2017
How much: No additional cost with a two-night’s stay

It’s no secret that Portland, Maine’s restaurant scene is gaining an impressive reputation. So much so that Boston may even be a bit envious (hi, Eventide). Planning a trip to the small coastal city can be overwhelming because of this—how are you supposed to know which restaurants out of all the top-notch choices are worth a stop? A package at the West End’s Pomegranate Inn is your solution.

Called the Portland Food Map package, the special gives guests an insider’s guide to food in the city. The boutique hotel teamed up with foodie and creator of the blog Portland Food Map Anestes Fotiades to guide visitors on a tour of the city’s restaurants and hidden gems. The package comes at no additional cost when guests book two nights or longer.

It includes a detailed map of the best places to eat in Portland, tips on the town’s best cocktails, breweries, and bakeries, plus a free appetizer or small plate with the purchase of a lunch or dinner for two at some of Anestes’ favorite spots: restaurants like Caiola’s, Bao Bao, East Ender, and Lolita. And while not a part of the special, it’s comforting to know there are complimentary cookies in the Pomegranate Inn’s dining lounge on most afternoons.
