If your 2017 New Year’s resolutions include learning tennis, it’s probably not a good idea to hire David Ortiz as your coach.
Trading in his baseball bat and cleats for a racket and polo shirt, the retired Red Sox slugger got to show off his powerful skills on the court in a hilarious new ad for TurboTax. The video features Big Papi slamming balls out of the park and disrupting the lives of tennis club attendees.
Ortiz seems to be having fun as he explores life after baseball. During the fall, Big Papi tried being a Lyft driver for a day, going undercover to surprise unsuspecting passengers. He also recently talked about his budding business ventures on Late Night with Seth Meyers, although they aren’t as zany as the ideas Kenan Thompson’s Big Papi comes up with on Saturday Night Live.
