Watch the First Trailer for Amy Poehler’s New Movie

Amy Poehler’s latest movie now has a trailer. She’ll be appearing in The House alongside former Saturday Night Live co-star Will Ferrell. The two play suburban parents whose daughter just got accepted into the college of her dreams. The only problem? They can’t pay for it (stars, they’re just like us). To raise the tuition money, the two open an underground casino in their basement. Because taking out some student loans would make too much sense.
Both physical and verbal humor pack the two and a half minute trailer, which ends with Ferrell appearing to accidentally cut off a man’s hand for cheating in their casino. This movie has the same ‘adults gone wild’ humor as Poehler’s previous film Sisters, but there’s always the possibility of a touching moment at the end.
Plenty of comedians join Ferrell and Poehler in the film, including Jason Mantzoukas, who seems to pop up in every comedy project these days, though you might recognize him from Parks and Recreation to Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Also appearing in the film? Poehler’s former beau, Nick Kroll, lately seen on Broadway in Oh, Hello alongside John Mulaney.
Poehler hasn’t been in a movie since she appeared in Sisters with celebrity BFF Tina Fey in 2015, but was recently filming Wet Hot American Summer: 10 Years Later, set to debut on Netflix sometime this year.
