Put off your road trip to Nova Scotia no longer. This fall, the peninsula’s White Point Beach Resort is offering a one-of-a-kind hiking package for wilderness lovers. The excursion, created in partnership with Hike Nova Scotia, is called the Keji Seaside Beaver Moon Night Hike Getaway. (We realize that’s a mouthful, so we’ll break it down for you.)

The package offers the opportunity to go on a nighttime hike along Kejimkujik National Park Seaside’s coastline during the “Beaver Moon,” a nickname for November’s full moon period. Kejimkujik National Park Seaside, or Keji for short, is home to some of the darkest skies in North America, making for top-notch sky-gazing.

The moonlit night hike getaway begins with a beachside barbecue at White Point on Saturday, November 4. Then at sunset, hikers are whisked to Keji Seaside for a guided hike and dark sky experience. Travel is provided back to White Point after the hike, and breakfast for hikers is included the next morning. A word to the wise? Pack plenty of layers to combat the evening chill.
