Were you lured by those incredibly tempting discounted tickets offered during the pre-summer Amtrak flash sale (the cheapest in years) back in May?

Well, good news: The flash sale is back. From now until Friday, the train service is offering way-cheaper-than-usual rates for its Northeast Regional trips, including jaunts from Boston to New York City or Washington, D.C. for $39—a trip that can run as high as $120 each way. A flash sale ticket to Philadelphia will run you $55, while a trip to New Haven is $29.

Tickets booked during the sale are for travel between Wednesday, August 1 and Friday, November 9 and are for one-way coach class trips only. There are no blackout dates. You won’t need to use a code to take advantage of the lower rate. The discount is applied automatically during the booking process.

So if you’re hoping to sneak in one last getaway before heading back to school, planning some leaf-peeping for the fall, or if you’ve always wanted to enjoy a traffic-free trip to the Big Apple while also sipping on a bar car vodka soda, this is your chance to do it on the cheap(ish).
