Ryan Hamilton Walsh, who dove into the local origins of Van Morrison's pivotal album for the April 2015 issue, knows a lot about the world of rock, having covered the local scene for the Boston Phoenix and produced music with his band Hallelujah the Hills. But he was still surprised by the tale behind the album: "To make something as beautiful and tonally unwavering as Astral Weeks, reason would dictate you'd want a lot of peace and quiet. The story I found about its creation was just the opposite."
