2003 Best Charlestown Restaurant, Neighborhood

Figs

The thin-crusted, brick oven—baked pizzas, now legendary, are the mainstay at Figs. But the pastas and desserts (particularly the specials) are almost as popular with the local yuppie families and couples that pack this frenetic, friendly restaurant. The success of this original location has spawned branches all over the area, but you won’t regret getting in line for a table here to try new pie combinations and other dishes as tasty as those served at chef and owner Todd English’s other Italian eateries—but at much lower prices.
