Vinny’s at Night

We’d trek to Vinny’s just for the show—the checked tablecloths, the no-nonsense waitress, the vaguely Sopranos-esque clientele sucking down pasta fazool. But the food at this no-frills spot, tucked into the back of a gritty convenience store, is an even greater draw. The antipasto bar, massive bowls of handmade pasta covered in Vinny’s famous marinara, and braciole, thinly pounded beef stuffed with spinach and ‘prosciute,’ all cost less than $15. It’s an offer, you might say, that we can’t refuse.
