There’s something otherworldly about the jerk chicken at this counter-service Jamaican spot: It’s hot, to be sure, but the fire doesn’t mask the smoky, complex flavor. (If you can’t handle the heat, it’s a good excuse to try the gelato, too—rum raisin, perhaps?) A recent move to sleeker digs—we’re loving the bold blue color scheme—pushes this Mattapan fave into an exciting new era.
