Boston Children’s Hospital League’s “Sweet Dreams & Silver Linings” Gala

Supporting the groundbreaking work of Boston Children’s Hospital


Boston – On Saturday, November 23, 2013 more than 500 business leaders, philanthropists and individual supporters gathered at the InterContinental Hotel in Boston to celebrate “Sweet Dreams & Silver Linings,” the Boston Children’s Hospital League’s largest fundraiser of the year.


The evening was hosted by Dan Andelman of the Phantom Gourmet, and featured dinner, dancing DJ’d by Northern Lights, and the popular live auction, emceed by auctioneer John Terrio. Donors bid on a variety of unique items to support Boston Children’s Hospital, including tickets to Boston’s sport events, dining experiences in Boston’s hottest restaurants, and trips to exotic vacation destinations.


A key highlight of the evening was a personal and very moving speech from Leanna Healey, a young woman whose life was saved by the doctors and staff at Boston Children’s Hospital.


The Boston Children’s Hospital League has donated more than $15 million to initiate and sustain patient services, medical research and capital improvements at Boston Children’s Hospital. Kids get to be kids because of programs like The Big Apple Clown Care sm, Music and Art Therapy, and Pawprints Pet Visitation. Patients thrive thanks to the Center for Young Women’s Health, highly specialized summer camps, and community-based support. And doctors and nurses excel when their research and training lead to innovative treatments and cures. The Boston Children’s Hospital League dedicates itself to providing hope, miracles and health here in Boston and around the world.
