What's your background, education and training?

I attended dental school at Georgetown Dental School and received my oral & maxillofacial surgery training at Georgetown University Medical Center. I was Chief Resident at DC General Hospital and Georgetown Medical Center.

What is your typical process for working with a new patient?

Emergency patients are usually seen within 24 hours. Patients who request general anesthesia will need to have a preoperative consultation. Patients have the ability to register through our website prior to their scheduled appointment.

What advice would you give a patient looking to find a provider in your specialty?

Seek the care of an established board certified oral & maxillofacial surgeon, like myself, or speak to your general dentist or friends who are happy with their care. Fifty percent of my practice is patient referrals.

What inspired your passion for your profession?

The ability to enhance a patient's well-being through maxillofacial reconstruction and more recently dental implant reconstruction.

What treatments are you most excited to offer?

Bone grafting techniques and dental implant placement.

What is the best reaction you’ve ever received from a patient?

Most patients are very appreciative and will write thank you notes with regards to my staff and their treatment. Having a patient refer a friend or a family member is also a testament of how they feel about myself and my office.

What makes your practice stand apart?

I am in solo practice and extend exceptional care to each and every patient personally. I can be reached postoperatively 24 hours a day.

What should patients know about your pricing?

All fees are usual and customary for this area and many are set by the insurances whom we are providers for.

How many years have you been in business?

I have been in practice for 30 years.

What do clients have to say about you?

Dr Blaise Ekert is smart, professional and the best oral surgeon whom I am aware of. I have travelled from west of Concord, Mass to seek out his consultation and treatment. He has surrounded himself with an equally competent staff of dental assistants and the office staff is courteous and helpful as well

The doctor, nurses and all the staff made me feel heard and helped me feel calm even though I was feeling anxious about the procedure. They were happy to answer questions and made the process flow smoothly. The follow up care was thorough. Overall I felt well cared for and I had limited pain the days following my appointment

Excellent! Efficient, friendly, and painless. This is the oral surgeon to choose if you need any work done. I give Belmont Oral Surgery the very highest praise

Hours of operation
