Bostonista Loves: Simply Vera

1199465152Yes ma’am, I’m strutting my stuff in Vera Wang. Designs that I previously only pouted at are now hanging in rows in my closet. And yet, I didn’t have to spend my entire salary to get the new look.

Thanks to Kohl’s Simply Vera line, I’m donning the designer’s skirts, dresses, and blouses, and zipping up my very own Vera Wang boots. I admit it, I’m Simply Vera hooked.

I used to think of Kohl’s as the place where my mom goes Christmas shopping crazy, gripping half a dozen coupons. But now I frequent the store often to see the new Simply Vera pieces up for grabs. Similar to Target’s teaming up with Isaac Mizrahi, and JCPenney’s deal with Nicole Miller, Wang’s partnership with Kohl’s includes clothing, shoes, hosiery, jewelry, lingerie, handbags, and belts, as well as a home goods line that offers stellar sheets and comforters.

I also picked up a pair of black leather, knee-high boots with leather bows. The boots are stylish enough for work, and still appropriate for walking through moderate slush to and from the T.1199465058

Another proud purchase is the jewel-toned silk dress (above), which I wore to a friend’s wedding at the swanky Langham Hotel. The sleek texture and intricate beading look like a million bucks, but I spent less than 100.
