Weekly Sales: President’s Day Edition

Eleven score and fifteen years ago, our founding fathers probably didn’t think that they would be recognized with a thee-day weekend and various motor sales, but our current prez would surely appreciate the economic stimulation. We’ve rounded up a few can’t-miss sales for anyone not shopping for a new sedan.

The Garment District

Bargain hunters, rejoice! Everything from clothing (vintage and contemporary) to shoes and accessories are half off at The Garment District Friday through Sunday. The sale will clear space for the store’s new goods, which hit the racks on Monday. Boston Costume, on the building’s first floor, will also be offering 50 percent off.

Bodega

Bodega is emerging from behind its soda-machine-covered trap door to host a warehouse sale Sunday through Wednesday at 132 Brookline Avenue. This clandestine shoe store will start its discounts at 40 percent off, but by Wednesday prices will be reduced by 70 percent. We recommend getting there early.

Wrentham Outlets

Enjoy extra discounts Friday through Monday at Wrentham Outlets. The magic number seems to be 60, as BCBG will be offering sales of 60 to 70 percent off, Salvatore Ferragamo will offer 60 to 80 percent off, and the Gap will offer 60 percent off. Plus, extra deals will be offered at Cole Haan, J.Crew, Nine West and more.
