Stuff We Love: Bare Escentuals Prime Time Shadow

Anyone who’s experimented with cream eyeshadow has no doubt experienced the horror of sticky lids and color that collects in creases.

But you no longer have to resign yourself to the stuff that comes in powder form, thanks to Bare Escentuals’ new Prime Time shadows, a combination cream eye color and lid primer. The stuff comes in six pretty metallic shades — my favorite is Urban Nature, which is billed as a “delicate moss” color but goes on taupe with a hint of plummy shimmer.

Each hue is waterproof, provides rich color and even coverage, and absolutely refuses to crease (which I can say with certainty after putting it to the ultimate test: a sweaty night out dancing in Central Square). Use them alone for wear-it-all-day ease, or as a base for smoky eyes with a twist (the Gunmetal shade is perfect).
