Make Plans For Fashion's Night Out

Tonight's the most stylish night in Boston.

Unless you’ve been living under a very unfashionable rock, you know that tonight is Fashion’s Night Out. Newbury Street will be closed to traffic to make way for 80 luxe vehicles from Herb Chambers, performances by local bands like Sweet Tooth & the Sugarbabies, and the shopping hordes. Mayor Menino will kick off the festivities at 6 p.m.

Shops around the city are celebrating with special events and sales. Here’s a sample of the stylish festivities:

– Catch a fashion show and a live performance from Air Traffic Controller at Life is good. There will also be food and beer from Joe’s American Bar & Grill and Harpoon Brewery. 6-10:30 p.m. 285 Newbury St., Boston, 617-262-5068,
