Since 1997, Veronica Sagherian and her brother, Anto Aboyan, have sold engagement sparklers and anniversary pearls out of their Newton Highlands shop, Adamas Fine Jewelry. Call it the 15-year itch: This past November, the pair, feeling the need to experiment more with trends, opened Impulse in Wellesley’s Linden Square, offering statement necklaces, chunky rings, and customizable charm bracelets that range in price from $100 to $7,500.  “We’re trying to bridge the gap from fine to fashion,” Sagherian says of Adamas’s younger, hipper sister. “Here, we can try out different designers, sell what we want”—and think outside the proverbial velvet box.

Sagherian frequently asks her customers for feedback before introducing new lines. As a result, be on the lookout this month for baubles by Zeffira and Dominique Denaive. Our favorite buys, though, are simple, on-trend pieces from the duo’s in-house collection, further proof that these two leave no good stone unturned.
