In our March issue, we featured six out-of-the-ordinary spring scents for ladies and gents (“Indie-Scent Proposal,” page 36). But we spritzed and sniffed so many more. Here are two other selections that passed our fresh smell-test:

Shamanuti “Tanqueray”

Long-time Boston resident Beth Hopkins put her creativity and plants obsession to good use by founding an organic skincare brand. She blends fragrances solely from ingredients found in nature (no harsh chemicals)—this refreshing spritzer is new for spring.

Notes: Cucumber, melon, squash blossom , and pink pepper.
Perfect for: Yogis; green thumbs.

Patch NYC “Swallow”

Inspired by the vintage accessories they found at  flea markets, Patch NYC designers John Ross and Don Carney started out as milliners. These handmade, oil-based solid perfumes— a collaboration with New York’s Soap & Paper Factory— are made with beeswax and jojoba.

Notes: Orange blossom, rosewood, cyclamen, and oak moss.
Perfect for: Sophisticated South Enders; clean freaks.
