Photos: The Lenny Zakim Fund Young Leaders’ 5th Annual Casino Night

This marquee event raises money to support small, local non-profits.

On Saturday March 1, 2014, friends of the Lenny Zakim Fund, which provides assistance to “below the radar” Boston-area literacy, hunger, housing, and education organizations, celebrated their annual casino night at the Four Seasons Hotel in Boston.

Among the guests, the always-smiling Tiffany Dowd and her hubby, JB, Linda and John Henry (who were spied mugging it up in a photo booth), a Mardi Gras decorated Tito Jackson, Michael Tarshi, and his orthodontist colleague (who gave out free and might we add, unsolicited, dental advice), and co-chairs Josh Zakim, Amy Belkin, and Sam Slater.

Belkin chose an understated-chic look consisting of a lace print dress from her pal Harley’s family store, Alan Bilzerian, a Helmut Lang leather jacket, a Bottega Veneta silk woven clutch, Jimmy Choo shoes, and Stephen Webster baubles.

Ashley Bernon, who acted uncharacteristically coy when we asked to take her photo, wore a barely there and beautiful Stella McCartney Dress with sky-high Louboutins, vintage diamond baubles, and of course, her signature tan:

Mom and philanthropist Penelope Fireman wins look of the night, wearing a green, open-backed, lace Valentino dress, a L’wren Scott clutch and booties by Brian Atwood. When asked what she was wearing, she had to check labels on her shoes and her bag, laughing, “I don’t even know what any of this is, I just threw it together.”

Nutrition coach and soon-to-be Pilates instructor Jennifer Garner (no not that one) took mall store brands to a new level of cool in her floral dress from Lit, layered J. Crew necklaces, and metallic tweed clutch from Express:

The overhear of the season came for the always outspoken Joshua Jansen as he observed, “There are a lot of gays here, I’ve seen three or four, which is much more than your average fundraiser.”
