Come Monday, Boston natives Nicole Cronin and Heather O’Connell will unveil the second location of their clothing and accessories store Ku De Ta at The Street, joining other indie area retailers — including Portobello Road, Polka Dog Bakery, and Urban Grape— already in the mix at the outdoor shopping center.

Duffy Design Group outfitted the new 800-square-foot, girly-chic Chestnut Hill space with pink draping, tufted velvet panels, pendant lights with LED flowers, and a screen-printed image of a fashion show runway across one wall and the dressing room curtains. High-end brands like Mother Denim, Lavender Brown, and 525 America will join more accessible Ku De Ta favorites like Pink Martini and Costa Blanca on the racks and shelves.

Keep an eye out for New England designers (Alex and Ani, Kendra Phillip, D’Andrea) and expect frocks that fit every summer occasion: maxis for music festivals, preppy sundresses for Nantucket nights, flowery shifts for wedding showers, and more. And, fear not, Southie fans: Ku De Ta’s eight-year-old original East Broadway location will remain open.
