Uniqlo Boston Set to Open in Faneuil Hall Marketplace

The Quincy Market flagship store will dwarf the pop-up shop that opened last summer.

Feeling a fast fashion void that even Primark can’t fill? Jonesing for some $15 jeans? Look no further than Uniqlo, set to open its Boston flagship store in Faneuil Hall Marketplace on Friday, October 9.

Uniqlo has been operating a pop-up shop in Faneuil Hall since July 2014, but the permanent storefront will offer far more of the affordably priced men’s and women’s basics, outerwear, and athletic gear that the Japanese brand is known for. And if walls and walls of impossibly cheap cashmere sweaters aren’t enough to get you psyched, the grand opening ceremony will include DJs, live performers, prizes, and giveaways.

The two-level, 12,000-square-feet store—which will be housed in Quincy Market—is the latest in Uniqlo’s recent Massachusetts expansion. Since August of last year, the company has opened outposts in the Natick Mall, Chestnut Hill Mall, Northshore Mall, and Legacy Place. A Newbury Street store may also be in the works.

Prepare yourself, Boston, and may the best bargain shopper win.
