We spend a lot of time admiring the perfectly dressed woman in her Jimmy Choo pumps, her Valentino sheath dress, and her Chloe saddle bag. But the truth of the matter is: we have rent to pay. That’s why stylish women everywhere have learned to rely on bargain-hunting to build their chic wardrobes. And there is almost no better place to score awesome mark-downs on designer duds than at stores like T.J. Maxx. Lucky for us Boston fashion-lovers, a massive new outpost is opening Thursday morning on Newbury Street.

The new retail space spans an impressive three floors for a total of 45,000 square feet of shopping space. The Newbury Street newcomer features the things you’ve come to know and love from T.J. Maxx, like purses from Michael Kors and Kate Spade (among others), a totally stocked beauty section, and a massive shoe department, in addition to a few newer features like charging stations, Wi-Fi, and (wait for it) a Runway section. The Runway section at the new store is one of only 80 in the country and is an incredible headliner for the bargain-centric chain. Featuring women’s and men’s pieces from designers like Christian Louboutin, Versace, and Yves Saint Laurent, the department is a great entry point for fashionistas looking for investment pieces (Be warned: these items are still indeed investments. Deeply discounted, but still expensive.)

In addition to the beautiful new showroom, the Newbury store has the privilege of kicking off Katherine Schwarzenegger’s “Road to Real” tour. The young author and lifestyle blogger—daughter of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver—teamed up with T.J. Maxx to celebrate the inspiring stories and accomplishments of the women who shop in their stores. Schwarzenegger will tour 16 cities—starting in Boston—to interview and learn from the women who are “living life on their own terms.”

“I grew up with a mom who was constantly asking questions, obviously professionally, but also while we were out getting coffee in the morning. She was asking women questions and listening and getting inspired by them,” Schwarzenegger says. “I’ll be interviewing women to find out more about their lives, the things that they’ve overcome, and the nuggets of wisdom they’ve learned along the way. I get to be a sponge to absorb all of this information.”

Of course, Schwarzenegger also gets the added benefit of checking out the brand-new outpost. As for shopping the newly stocked floor, her advice is simple: “Know that you’re going to be overwhelmed. That’s a given. But keep your eye on the prize. There’s a whole method to being a T.J. Maxx shopper. These women go in and they know exactly what they want.”

For Schwarzenegger, this season will be all about neutrals, so keep your eye out tomorrow while you’re scoping out the grand opening. “I love seeing people incorporating nude basics like a heel or a pant. There are purses and basics here that are great neutrals. That’s a trend I’m really excited about,” she says.

Below, get a first look at the new showroom, opening tomorrow morning at 8 a.m. on the corner of Massachusetts Avenue and Newbury Street by Hynes Station.
