This season, you won’t have to worry about ugly sweater-themed holiday parties sneaking up on you. Forget about last-minute thrift shopping, because Uber is here to help.
You read that right—Uber. On Thursday, December 8th from 11 a.m. through 4 p.m., the ride-hailing service will be offering free Boston-themed ugly sweaters (courtesy of Tipsy Elves) to every rider who requests the funky garment. Complete with lobsters, baseballs, and a red-and-green city skyline, it’s the perfect piece to exemplify your love of Beantown.
Here’s how the offer works: first, download the latest version of the Uber app and enter the promo code “ELVESBOS16” under the Payments tab. Once you’ve done this, simply slide over to the “Elves” option and request your ride. If you are connected with an Elves vehicle, a driver will appear with your necessary holiday apparel in tow.
Each rider can select up to two ugly sweaters, available in a women’s medium and large and a men’s large and extra large. The sweater-to-door delivery service will also be offered in other cities across the country, including Denver, Chicago, Dallas, and New York City, each with their own city-specific sweater. Requests are fulfilled on a first come, first served basis, so make sure to request yours on Thursday before they’re all gone.
