MEAGHAN

So you’re at BU studying international relations, what do you hope to do after school? I hope to always contribute to the advancement of human progress. Studying international relations has a unique power to give a different perspective on what’s happening around the world.

Where are you from? A suburb in New Jersey, about twenty-five minutes outside of NYC, depending on traffic.

Why did you choose BU? When I was looking at colleges, a city campus was a must for me. I couldn’t really see myself thriving in a closed campus environment. Being at BU, I’m integrated in the city and can explore Boston whenever I like.

Where are your favorite places to shop and hang out in Boston? I love Lucky Brand and Buffalo Exchange and I love the clothes at DVF. I’m in my happy place when I’m going to galleries and museums and trying different restaurants with friends. Tiger Mama is my favorite!

Do you have any style icons? Yes! Diane Von Furstenberg is one of my style icons and heroes in general. Naomi Campbell, Grace Coddington, and Amal Clooney all have amazing, timeless style that inspires me.

Not to brag, but I interviewed Diane Von Furstenberg once and she was really incredible in person. Wow that must have been amazing, I can only imagine. She really is such an inspiration.

How would you describe your personal style? Elegant but with a touch of Studi0 54. I always like to add at least one thing that stands out in my outfits like a brooch, a hat or a fun shoe. I like to have fun with my fashion choices and feel good.
