Dr. Apetauerova is Director of the Movement Disorders Center at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center. She has more than 20 years of experience in providing comprehensive care to patients with a variety of complex conditions including Parkinsonís disease and parkinsonian syndromes. The Movement Disorders Center offers outstanding care to patients who are undergoing deep brain stimulation surgery for Parkinsonís disease, tremor or dystonia.
Dr. Apetauerova is an associate clinical professor at Tufts University School of Medicine and a visiting associate clinical professor at Charles University in the Czech Republic. She is actively engaged in movement disorder research and is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and the Movement Disorders Society. Her areas of research include deep brain stimulation and progressive supranuclear palsy.
